Again, every single role on the battlefield that doesn't involve running and gunning in close quarters is "easy mode". Its no wonder I get bored of darn near every shooter I play these days. The fact is that a tank should be an asset capable of holding a large number of infantry at bay, because that's what they do in reality, which pretty much all games are a simulation of in some respect. And no, the fact that you yourself cannot solo said tank with some kind of one-shot rocket launcher or something is not bad game design. We're playing in a sandbox with a limited toolset, and as the RE debacle of last build showed, and as you can see in pretty much any other game, people are going to go for whatever can give them an edge on the battlefield, such as sniping. With tanks, well, people are gonna specialize into tanks because this is an MMO. When you get into a large armored battle, you're going to need as many tanks as you can get. |

We should all spec into tanks. Problem solved. No reason to have foot soldiers. Way to take what I said out of any possible context.
My point is that a tank is not an asset that should be destroy-able by a single player. When a tank is on the field, it should be able to mow down infantry with ease if they're dumb enough to get in it's sights. I was in a Corp v Corp battle on Friday where we darn near won even with 2 Sagaris's and a Soma on the field because we moved in groups and skirted around the tanks, leaving them nothing to shoot. Those tanks didn't last the whole time either. A Sagaris and Soma were both destroyed and had to be recalled because we lured them in with a Heavy firing an HMG at them, and then threw down AV grenades from a nearby hill.
You can't, and shouldn't be able to take down a tank on your own. However, you can accomplish this fairly easily even with a single squad of 4 if you outsmart them. Play to the fact that the driver probably fancies himself invincible, and give him what look like easy targets, as we did. |

I'm going to get myself into trouble here, but you remind me of Christians that take Bible quotes out of context and use them as justification for hating people. It would be a bit less offensive. I'm confused, are you recommending such because it would better act as a disclaimer? I guess it would be better stated as a too-common practice in virtually every religious group, but that particular group is on - god dammit, now I'm getting off topic.
It might not be in the best taste, but its easy to identify with, and it gets my point across. Just don't make the assumption I'm some kind of arrogant atheist, and there shouldn't be an issue. |

I like the way you think!
In all seriousness, I've been an avid supporter of limited ammo capacity for all vehicles since I started playing this game. The majority of the tank dominance issues come from the fact that you can just use all your weapons with reckless abandon because you'll never run out of shots. Give vehicles a limit to ammunition carried, and you'll notice operators being far more conservative with their shots. Now, they would obviously only be able to rearm at supply depots, which would be great for two reasons: A. They have to fall back to a fixed location to re-arm, making them vulnerable to ambush B. If they sit on said resupply point in order to spam their weapons, how long do you figure it takes before the enemy gets pissed and gets the surround on it?
Vehicles are always going to seem overpowered until they have limited ammo counts like infantry do
@Vermaak Doe I'll keep that in mind, thank you. |

Well, the only penalty you'd incur is gunning the person down. Its always their fault if they're dumb enough to walk in front of your bullets. |

I'll somehow find a way to cope with killing my teammate's best fit because of their actions. (Extreme sarcasm)
You deal with that the way anyone should in such a situation: tell him its his fault for being an idiot and to suck it up. |
